Website Builder: How to Map a domain

This article provides you with steps to map you domain name to your website builder package.

Step 1 – Login and activate website builder

Step 2 – Click on Login to start the Site Editor 

Step 3 – Click on Settings

Step 4 – Click on Domain Name

Step 5 – Click on Map Domain Name

Step 6 – Enter your Domain name and click Map Domain

INFO: Should your domain be with another registrar you would need to add DNS records to point your domain to your Website Builder package:

1. Login to your domain provider’s control panel. Find the domain you want to map, and go to the DNS settings page.
2. If you want to point the www subdomain to your website (for example www.mydomain.com), add a CNAME record, setting the host to ‘www’ and pointing to sitebuilder.1-grid.com
3. If you want to point the naked domain to your website (for example mydomain.com), add an A record, setting the host to ‘@’ and pointing to 41.185.63.10
