Before starting the transfer process, you need to make sure of the following first:
- The Domain Status needs to be OK.
- Confirm with your current host whose “registrant email” is listed online.
To view the domain status, visit the ZACR website and search for your domain.
You’ll notice in the image that the “Registrant email” is not listed due to privacy laws. If you are not sure which email address is listed, please confirm this with your current host.
You can now start the transfer process by completing the online signup.
The system will check if there the domain is available along with other domains that are similar to it.
If the domain needs to be transferred then click on the transfer button on the right-hand side.
If the domain does not exist then you can choose to register it by clicking on the “register” option instead. As soon as you click on one of these options, your cart will automatically be updated.
Click on “Go To Cart” to complete the signup.
If you are transferring co.za domains, a transfer request will be sent once the order is complete.
If the same order includes any international domains, the transfer request will be triggered once the invoice is marked as “paid”
